๐Ÿฏ Ti-GRRR Community Highlights

February is finally here and despite Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow and predicting six more weeks of winter, we can safely say this school year is moving quickly in the hopes to see warmer temperatures soon!

Student Council Bulletin Board Project

Student Council created a winter bulletin board titled โ€œNo Two Snowflakes Are Alike.โ€ Snowflake templates were handed out toeach classroom, and students were invited to draw a small self-portrait or write a few traits that described what made them special and unique.

The completed display is being featured at the front of our school, and we were proud to have every student represented on the wall. We hope families and visitors took a moment to stop, look closely, and read what made each member of our school community special.

Global Play Day Success

On Wednesday, our entire school participated in Global Play Day, with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade, including all specials classes, taking part. Throughout the day, lessons and learning were anchored in collaborative play, social skill development, and creativity, giving students meaningful opportunities to problem-solve, communicate, and connect with one another.

A special thank you to all of our teachers and staff who took the time to thoughtfully plan engaging activities and make this day a success for our students.

Check out our Live Feed on our website for some photos capturing this.

100th Day of School Fun

The 100th Day of School, coming right on the heels of Global Play Day, marked an exciting milestone for both students and staff. Reaching the 100-day mark means we are officially past the midpoint of the year, and it provides a wonderful opportunity to reinforce math concepts and spark creativity through engaging writing activities.

And it turns out Game Day isnโ€™t just for students! Thanks to our Sunshine Club Ambassadors, staff members joined in on the fun with a playful challenge and the chance to win a prize.

Can You Find 100 Jills?
One hundred pictures of Jill were hidden throughout the building. As staff discovered each one, they added it to the 100-chart posted on her office door. Every picture found earned an entry into a prize drawing, bringing smiles, friendly competition, and schoolwide fun.

Game Day for all, indeed!

A Friendly Reminder About Toys and Personal Items

We would like to kindly remind families of the importance of keeping toys, stuffed animals, Pokรฉmon cards, and similar personal items at home. As outlined in our Student Handbook, these items can become distracting in the learning environment and may lead to disruptions or conflicts during the school day.

Your partnership in reinforcing this expectation is greatly appreciated, as it helps us maintain a focused, safe, and inclusive space for all students to learn and grow.

Thank you for your continued support!
