It’s been an exciting and energizing week here at school, filled with opportunities for our students to engage, connect, and grow.

Our PE classes have been buzzing with excitement during the return of Scooter City, a student favorite that transforms the gym into a creative, active “city.” Students have loved exploring the different stations while collaborating and staying active. Be sure to check out the Live Feed section for photos capturing all the fun!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is another sure sign that spring is here. It has been wonderful to see students so excited to browse and choose new reading adventures along with a poster or two and some fun pens and trinkets. Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time to support this event, and a special thank you to Lacey McCabe for organizing and setting up such a meaningful experience for our school community.

We are also looking forward to our Tiger Twist Dance tonight from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. A big thank you to our amazing PTO and parent volunteers for making this a special event for our families. As we head into the evening, we ask for your partnership in reinforcing expectations with students so that everyone can enjoy a fun and safe experience.

Tiger Twist - TONIGHT! Friday, March 27, 5:30-7:30 at SU. It's not too late to purchase tickets, and we will also sell tickets at the door. See the LinkTree for registration and FAQ about the event. Our wonderful book fair will be open during the event. Can't wait to see you all there!

Pottery Night - Thursday, April 16, 6pm at SU. Time to Clay will bring in items selected in advance for students and families to paint. They will then fire up the items in their kiln and will be returned about 2 weeks later, just in time for Mother's Day! Check the LinkTree for registration. Deadline to order is April 3.

Volunteer Appreciation Day - We absolutely cannot do what we do without the help of our incredible volunteers. For all those who were kind enough to give us even just a small amount of time this year, keep an eye out for an invite to a night out at the movie theatre with your family in April. We truly appreciate you!

Fun Fridays - show your appreciation for our awesome staff by signing up for a Fun Friday! Our goal is to host two a month. Feel free to get creative or do something simple like having your class make sweet cards to put in the teacher's mailboxes! Sign up in the LinkTree below.

The HD Drama Guild wants to invite all GDRSD Staff to our Thursday 4pm Dress Rehearsal of Little Shop of Horrors in the Black Box Theater on April 9 (just 2 weeks away!) and, please share this announcement with friends, family, and all fans of Live Theater here in the GDRSD.

The GDRHS Drama Guild is getting ready to present their spring musical; Little Shop of Horrors; Broadway Version, produced by agreement with Music Theater International.  All related production materials are provided by MTI. mtishows.com.  We'll have 7pm performances on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.  We'll also have a 2pm matinee on Saturday. April 11.  Something new for the Drama Guild is that, for this show, tickets will be sold online in advance using a credit card through the GoFan system courtesy of GDRSD Athletics.
