Thank you to those that attended our Community Budget Forum on Wednesday, April 16th. Here is a link to the slides I presented summarizing the FY26 Superintendent's Proposed Budget certified in March by the School Committee, historical information on Chapter 70 Funding and challenges it creates for our towns, the override votes needed to fund our budget, and the impact on our students, staff, and community should the override votes fail. I encourage you to stay informed, educate yourself about the fiscal challenges we face, and to exercise your civic voice and vote:
Groton Town Meeting: Saturday April 26
Dunstable Town Meeting: Monday May 12
Override Ballot Vote: Tuesday May 20
Our educators are working tirelessly to inspire our kids to achieve, develop their own unique passions and talents, and build a sense of belonging and community within our schools. The personnel reductions and cuts experienced over the last two years have impacted all of us, and it is critical to steady the ship, prevent further reductions, and have the necessary resources to move our district and school improvement plans forward and build a shared vision for our future citizens!
